In a quarter leather binding, 35 by 28 cm. The stiff original boards have a new leather spine with a gold-stamped title and bands. With 53 maps and charts, some double-page. These include a map of the world as peopled by the descendants of Noah; a map of the Islamic world; several maps of Palestine including a detailed map of Jerusalem; and a world map according to Herodotus. The engravings date from 1798 onwards. Hand-coloured throughout. The endpapers have been creased and the title page has some foxing; the maps have occasional minor foxing but otherwise maps and binding are in VG condition. Images available. Very Good.
