Scale approximately 15 miles to the inch. With a key to projected routes and to surveyed routes. A very detailed map of what was to become the Uganda Railway. Macdonald and his colleagues had been given the task of preparing the plans for the railway- a 650 mile line- and of mapping the region. This seems to have been one of the most costly and significant engineering projects in the expansion of the British Empire in Africa. Uncoloured. Heights shown by shading or hachuring.
