On folding linen in 49 sections, size 145 by 92 cm. Scale 10 miles to the inch. The lines of the various companies are named and hand-coloured. A key explains the lines finished and lines in progress and an addition to the key appears beneath the map shwing railways not made. Includes a small inset map- a continuation of the Inverness and Ross-shire Railway. Folds into original cloth-covered boards with gold-stamped title. There is no small code number in the top left corner. Rebacked with most of the original spine. Good to VG condition with some fading and minor foxing to a couple of sea sections. Good.
