(7 pp). In stiff boards size 22 by 14 cm. A detailed reference work. The first work- the Bradshaw -is divided into 3 sections of data on gradients lengths etc.The first of these covers the railways and canals in the north of England; the second covers navigable rivers and canals as far south as the Thames and Severn and the third part gives details of the lengths and levels of canals navigable rivers and railways in the south. With two folding maps: of a continuation of the Lea Navigation & the River Stort a continuation of the Grand Junction and the proposed London & Birmingham canals (uncoloured); and the Central Union Canal (some hand-colouring). The intention was to have this information in order to interpret the early Bradshaw maps of railways and canals. A closed nick to spine and minor bumping to edges of boards but overall VG condition.
