On folding cloth size 75 by 58 cm. Scale 15 miles to the inch. A key provides an explanation of Rail Roads in progress; Rail Roads completed; Tunnels under Ground; Navigable Rivers; Canals etc. With inset maps of north of Scotland and the Orkneys. Uncoloured. The railway lines have the names of the companies printed beside them. Folds into stiff boards with a gold-stamped title. Three corners of the map have some minor loss outside the map where they have been pinned one fold has been strengthened to the reverse with archival standard clear tape and the front endpaper lacks some data.
