Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Parts 1-4 & 6 of the original issued pamphlets of Edwin Drood. There is a sixth pamphlet included, marked No. V, but it is actually another No. IV in the wrong wraps. Printed blue-green wraps on all parts, illustrations by Luke Fildes (only lacking the two that are in No. V), most of "Eighteenpence" sticker on No. VI survives, No. II lacks the "Cork Hats" ad, Part IV lacks the "Chapman & Co." ads. Wear at corners and spine ends, chips to edges of wraps, one of the illustrations has a short tear in margin, some scattered foxing/light staining, several pages uncut.
