Dark blue-green cloth hardboards with gold lettering & small oval pictorial on front cover, & gold lettering on spine faded to light blue, covers lightly scuffed & minor bleaching to back cover, spine ends worn & partly frayed up to 1/4 inch, spine edges worn & torn but repaired, corners worn through cloth, some other bevelled edges worn, page ends lightly soiled & browned, end papers lightly browned, large checkout slip of British Phrenological Society glued to front pastedown with no names listed, phrenological library stamp at top of half-title page, missing title page replaced with printed replicate on white paper, pages very good though browned at borders, tight binding & unmarked text, good copy except back free end missing, Good
