Description: London, printed for Richard Adams at Dryden's Head Holborn-Bars, 1746. Hardcover. Recent full red calf. Tear on frontispiece skillfully repaired; light foxing and occasional faint stains; 1/2-inch tear at outside margin of p. 45, not affecting text; a few darker stains on p. 94-96; otherwise very good condition. Worldcat locates 7 copies, 4 in the U.S. 256, plus 29p. of Rome's Custom-house for Sin. Frontispiece and one plate. Preface signed: G. B. Titlepage in red and black. 'The case of seduction' has a separate titlepage with the statement: 'The fourth edition' and the undated imprint: 'London: printed for John Marshall'. 'Rome's custom-house for sin' has a separate titlepage, with the imprint: 'London: printed for A. Ward, 1746' and separate pagination and register. ESTC citation no. T199407.
