The HISTORY OF THE ARMENIANS, by the unknown "Aathangelos", purports to be an eyewitness account of the conversion to Christianity of King Tiridates II and the Armenians by Gregory the Illuminator. The longest part of the work is a cathechism - the TEACHING OF SAINT GREGORY - which summarizes the teachings of the Armenian church and which was alleged to be the sermon that Gregory delivered to the King and his court at the time of their conversion.
