Charles Péguy (1873-1914) was a noted French poet, essayist, and editor, and Catholicism strongly influenced his works. It is remarkable that no book has yet been produced in England about Péguy, and this translation from the French fills the gap. It is a complete biography taking in the whole of Péguy's life from childhood to his death on the Marne in 1914, by a bullet to the forehead. The author was his friend and colleague for many years. C3A. Very Good/Very Good.
