Gilt title and decoration to spine, blind embossed title, ruling and motif of Anatole France on orange cloth boards which are clean and unmarked with no wear. Internally very clean, tight and unmarked with no inscriptions. Dustjacket is complete with age darkening and a manual correction changing 'girl' to 'boy' on the Famished Cat synopsis. Translated by Agnes Farley. First Crown Octavo edition (First Demy Octavo was 1912). This was Anatole France's first work of fiction published in 1879. B2C. Very Good/Good.
