Dustjacket is complete with wear to top and lower edges and spine head and tail with shelf scuffing marks. An Adam Horne historical novel, where Captain Horne, newly returned from a successful assignment to rid the Arabian Sea of pirates, is summoned to the presence of his commanding officer, Commodore Watson. Watson is head of the East India Company's private fighting unit, the much derided Bombay Marine, the time being 1761 and the setting Pondicherry, the last stronghold of the French in the Indian Subcontinent.
