The American author was editor of Look and Flair magazines in the 1940's and 1950's and became acquainted with a number of White House occupants with her most valued friend being President Eisenhower, on whose behalf she attended the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Others in her memories are Winston Churchill, Pope John, Pablo Picasso, Marilyn Monroe et al. She moved to England in 1955 to seriously pursue her ambition as a painter and became a collected artist. 22 photographic illustrations. A very fascinating autobiography of an accomplished woman. 23.
