Portrait plates of each artist are tissue guarded. 348 pages and publisher's catalogue. The author is Sarah Knowles Bolton (1841-1916) formerly Sarah Elizabeth Knowles, an American and leader of the Temperance Crusade movement who wrote biographies and travelled to Europe.
