Both the pretty decorative endpapers and the cream colored pages and page edges are clean as a whistle throughout. There are no names or writing and there are even a few original advertising pieces laid-in.The recipes are the cream of the Gourmet Magazine crop over the ten years prior to publication. There are 93 full color photographs showcasing such treats as French breads and croissants, ham in burgundy en croute, chicken marengo, lime meringue pie, cherries jubilee and even afternoon tea. How elegant! Books are comprised of over 700 pages each, plus indexes.
