One of 500 numbered sets issued, with the exclusion of Compton-Burnett's first Novel, Dolores, at the authors wish. In her will, Dame Ivy had made provision for a set of her works to be printed in a special edition but stipulated that Dolores must not be part of the set. Fine and clean copies, each with the limitation sheet numbered 129 in near fine original dustwrappers, designed by Will Carter. The spines arec all just a little darkended but overall this is a bright and clean set in the publishers red cloth covered spil-cases. Also included is a copy of the 1971 first edition booklet; I. Compton-Burnett by R. Glynn Grylls. This thin work was issued seperately and supplied by the sets previous owner, luckily fitting into the slip-case with the first 5 volumes.
