Raised bands on spine, each piped in gilt. Gilt rules, decoration and lettering to the compartments. Plain pink endpapers. Top edge gilt. Some rubbing to the hinges but still firm and tight. An attractive leather binding on this first American edition of one of the giants of Children's literature.
