Spine with raised bands, each with gilt piping. Compartments fully ruled and decorated in gilt. Red morocco title label, gilt. Wave gilt border to both boards. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Neat prize presentation label (dated 1911) on front blank endpaper and school arms stamped in gilt to the rear board. The emblem of the Kent Education Committee on the front. Some minor uniform fading to the spine but overall a near fine copy in a lovely binding. The binding is unsigned but is certainly the work of a master binder.:
