The spines with decorative wide raised bands. Compartments decorated in gilt. Dark brown title labels, gilt. Marbled paper on boards. Marbled endpapers. Ex library copies with the library name stamped in perforated lettering to the bottom of the title pages. Verso of titles with ink library stamp, otherwise the text is free from marks and stamps and generally clean throughout. Front paste down endpapers have library ticket holder and library rules and times sheet stuck down. Some rubbing and wear to the bindings, with the hinges all cracked but holding firm. Some chipping and minor loss to the tops and bottoms of the spines. Overall a good only set of what are still an attractive set of bindings. Sadleir 477. Wolff 1013.
