Description: London: Printed for John Murray, 1803. New Edition, 4to, [8], 252pp., ownership signature on half-title, contemporary half calf, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, a nice copy. A treatise on agricultural chemistry with a section devoted to soil analysis. The work contains practical and interesting ideas and continued to be read long after Davy's 'Elements of Agricultural Chemistry.' appeared. The first edition appeared in 1795 and although this is called a new edition it is really a second issue of the first edition with a new title-page.
