Description: Glasgow: Printed by Niven, Napier and Khull, 1805. First edition, [4], 178pp., new endpapers, recent quarter calf, marbled boards, morocco spine label. William Aiton (1760-1847) of Strathaven was Sheriff Substitute for the Middle Ward in Lanarkshire, and was widely known as an authority "on all matters bearing on Scottish husbandry".
