Title: A Linguistic Approach to Conversational Japanese.
Description: 101 North 6th Street. San Jose, California. 1971, 1st Edition. Soft cover. 130 pages. Informal side-stapled binding. Author is/was a PhD linguist. A very rare book. No copies offered online and no copies in WorldCat library holdings as far as I can tell. Probably printed in an edition of just a handful of copies. A book for English-speaking new learners of Japanese. Some Romanized orthography and some Kanji. Should be invaluable for those studying the history of language instruction methods. Or working on a bibliography of same. The author has modestly handwritten on the titlepage: "This book is not complete. The analysis of Japanese sound system in the introduction and grammatical notes for each lesson will be added". Apparently some circumstance prevented this. But it seems to stand well without this. Good.
