Cloth, G+. 112pp, all edges gilt, prices realised for the entire sale in blue pencil, along with a note explaining that Breton's 'Evening in the Hamlet of Finistère' which sold for $18200 was the most expensive painting ever to be sold at auction in New York, upper cover creased & gutter repaired, slightly rubbed. Hardback , no dustjacket. ¶ Sale catalogue for the first of two auctions held to dispose of the art collection of the New York City banker George Ingraham Seney [ 1826 - 1893 ]. As president of the Metropolitan Bank, when the bank failed he was forced to sell his extensive collection of mainly pre-Impressionist 19th-century European and American paintings.
