Full calf, VG. viii+175pp, engraved frontis, lacks the front endpaper & half title, tear to D7 which crosses the text, a nice copy. The binding is firm with a small spilt at the base of the rear board. Hardback , no dustjacket. ¶ A popular collection of satirical verse of the 18th century. The frontis shows several members of the Blunderhead family being led by their noses on string. Despite this being the author's only lasting work, such was its popularity in his day that the author Christopher Anstey [ 1724 - 1805 ] has a memorial plaque in poet's corner in Westminster Abbey.
