Description: . Six dinner menus wrapped in beautiful decorated paper covers for the two ships Harozaki Maru and Taiyo Maru, ocean liners owned by the Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK). Size of covers: ca 13.5 x 19 cm. Text in English. The wrappers are beautifully printed in vivid colours depicting Enryakuji Temple, a Kago (palanquin), Mount Fuji, Kegon Fall, a Maru vessel, and a couple of ducks. The contents of the menus would have been printed on board the ships, only the wrappers being woodblock-printed ashore before departure.
