Late (probably the last) edition of this very popular account about the Holy Land, first published in 1768.In 1732, Höpken and Carleson were sent out to investigate trading possibilities with ports around the Mediterranean Sea. Later they negotiated with the Grand Visir in Constantinople and successfully concluded a treaty of commerce, giving the Swedes free access to all Turkish ports. This is a narrative of their journey in 1733 to the Holy Land where they visited Nazareth, Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
