Title: The Six Years of 6 Canadian Field Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery (+ 19 Original WWII Photos)
Description: Bilthoven, Netherlands, Self-published, 1945. 1st. Paperback. First printing. 128 pp. several maps, some folding, drawings, octavo decorated wraps. Fine unread copy with no owner's name, no soiling no significant wear. Scans of book available. Also included are 4 original WWII photos from the regiment's time in Europe: 3 group photos of around 40-50 members each, dated on the back: Paris, Aug. 1, '45, Versaillles Aug. 2, '45, Deventer, (Netherlands) July '45. The largest photo is 7" X 9", the other two are somewhat smaller. The largest is the Deventer photo which is marked "21 Bty, 6 Field Regt. RCA" plus date and location. The smaller two have a few members names marked on the back (Joyce, Green, Daly). There is also a fourth photo marked "Paris 3 Aug, 1945" of Notre Dame Cathedral, apparently taken from a boat on the Seine. Also, 15 small photos (3 1/3" X 4 1/2") of RCA Survey Wing training at Camp Pettawa in 1941. Names included: Joyce, Matthieson, Young, Holmes, Lyons. Photos in the original 1941 envelope from a Pembroke photo studio who developed them. A unique collection of items. Fine.
