The two volumes cover the Scilly Isles, Anglesey and much of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. They consist of a translation in French taked nfrom early tours by Pennant, Johnson, MacAulay on St Kilda and etc. Vol.I 375p + errata leaf; 4 folding plates of the Scilly Isles etc.; large folding map of Scotland. Vol II 328p + errata leaf. ; 4 plates. Firmly bound in half leather, clean and unmarked apart from an early owners name on fep. No foxing. Paper crisp. The leather on the spine which has raised bands and missing labels is deteriorating but binding sound. . Otherwise all is VG with plates and the folding map in VG+ condition.
