There is much focus ion the surge of venereal disease after WWI and the new disease Encephalitis Lethargica. Little information about the tale end of the 1917 flu epidemic but mention of anti-influenza vaccines. Distress in the Outer Hebrides - unemployment, failed potato crop and herring fishery; drinking of methylated spirit; infectious disease notifications; stranding of Whales in the Dornoch Firth - public health issues; Lochaber Water Power Scheme- health of the workers; ultra violet irradiation for Pulmonary TB and etc. The set are in VG condition - however several volumes have missing fep's and there is deterioration in the cloth along the top edge of the 1927 and 1924 volumes.
