Murray is given credit for discovering, in 1722, a substantial deposit of lead ore at what is the present location of the Strontian Mines. He wrote The true interest of Great Britain, Ireland and our plantations: or, a proposal for making such an union between Great Britain and Ireland, and already made betwixt Scotland and England. in 1740 with a fine plan of Loch Sunart and the Strontian mines. This pamphlet has a separate title page, a fine plate and is priced at 6d - the full title above is priced at 1/-. Presumably it was issued independently - though pagination is p.58-80. The pamphlet is bound in firm thick plain grey boards with a large folding plate. No marks or signatures. See scans. . Very Good +
