Title: All the Talents; a Satirical Poem, in Four Dialogues. To Which Is Added, a Pastoral Epilogue. By Polypus
Description: Printed for John Joseph Stockdale, 1808. Hardcover. With the striking engraved sepia frontispiece, by Rowlandson. pp xiii, viii, 15-95, 9-139 [i.e. 41], 5-16; 70 + 8p Stockdale book catalogue. Original brown printed paper boards, uncut : with loss of spine and boards supported by cords only. Otherwise a bright, fresh copy in original state with contempory signatures on fep. and top of title page. Plate of a clothed smoking monkey by Rowlandson in good condition. An extremely clever poem ridiculing the whig administration of the day, the most successful of the political satires by this noted Cork wit : this may have been the last edition. The addition of the fourth dialogue makes for awkward pagination - but apparently complete, and with extensive booksellers catalogue.
