She wrote a series of children's books including one about Barkley (a dog), The Bubble Gum Monster books and The Horse That Came to Breakfast. In her spare time she trains and shows dressage horses and is a substitute organist at her church in Bedford, Indiana. Farley joined Saturday Night Live in 1990 with Chris Rock. Lorne Michaels hired him from Chicago's Second City Theatre. Farley's first important skit was as a dancer opposite Patrick Swayze trying out for the Chippendales. Color photo on front cover.
