With an introduction by Jan Hoet printed on 2 transparent sheets in English and Dutch. Together in original clamshell black boards box with gilt lettering. Signed "General Idea" and numbered 351/500 in pencil on the museum label on the inside of the box. General Idea was a collective of three Canadian artists, Active from 1967 to 1994. They were pioneers of early conceptual and media-based art. Their collaboration became a model for artist-initiated activities and continues to be a prominent influence on subsequent generations of artists. 'Ghent Scarf' was created for the General Idea exhibition at the Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst in Ghent. The work is their version of the city of Ghent's flag with the lion replaced by a poodle, a recurrent symbol in General Idea's practice. Fine. Signed by Author(s).
