Original publishers drab boards, rubbed and worn, loose, lacking the spine, contents in the main unbound, text clean with some occasional browning, engraved portrait frontis and 4 further plates as listed, iv,180, 4pp catalogue, plates dated 1794, British Library suggests a publication date of 1795 with no earler editions noted. Ebenezer Sibly 1751-1799, although a trained physician, felt science alone was insufficient in explaining the human condition and studied astrology, alchemy, mesmerism, freemasonry and natural magic. In 1785 he wrote A New and Complete Illustration of the Celestial Science of Astrology and in 1789 was involved in the illustrated edition of Culpeper's Herbal. Scarce, outside of libraries and institutions very few copies have appeared recently. Fair.
