(Top of spine sl. dam.; lacks frontispiece portrait; occas. light foxing). VG. ¶ First edition, edited, with an "Historical preface" by Phillip Yorke, second Earl of Hardwicke. - Sabin 10901: "Only 20 copies printed and published at the expense of Lord Royston, the second Earl of Hardwick, the author of the Preface". In 1775 a second edition with additions to the preface was printed in 50 copies, and in 1780 a third edition followed). - All editions very scarce.
