Title: Salmon Fishing. {Inscribed and Signed by John James Hardy}.
Description: London. Published at the Offices of Country Life. 1907. First Edition. Octavo (9 x 6). 169 pp. Laid-in is the half-title leaf from another copy of Hardy’s Salmon Fishing that is inscribed by John J. Hardy to Scottish angler William Robertson in 1907. Photo frontispiece of the author. There’s a color plate with tissue guard showing a variety of Atlantic salmon flies. Black and white plates showing Hardy reels, rods, hooks, knots, casts, etc. Text illustrations. And there’s dressings for 344 salmon fly patterns. The book is bound in the original dark green cloth with gilt titles and decorations in gold. Occasional light foxing on the fore-edges, however the book is generally clean and bright. Curiously, the date of publication on the title page reads "MCM" rather than the actual date of "MCMVII." A very good book. Signed by Author.
