The books are inscribed and signed by Ernest Schwiebert to his friend and fishing companion, Bill Dana. It’s set number 501 of 750 copies published. Signed by the author on the limitation page. A wet fly (Dark Hendrickson) dressed by Ernest Schwiebert is mounted within a recessed rectangle on a special mat board with protective tissue; on the reverse side of the board, Mr. Schwiebert has attached a color print of a Brook Trout, also signed by him. On the half-title page of volume 1, Schwiebert has drawn a hand-colored fly, it’s his "Evening Star" salmon fly. On the half-title page in volume 2, Schwiebert has also drawn a hand-colored "Light Hendrickson." Under both flies are his initials "E S." The second volume is also signed by Ernest. Color plates of trout and trout flies showing hundreds of patterns and nearly all trout species. Text illustrations and drawings. Both volumes are bound in blue cloth with silver titles. Matching blue cloth slip case. The spines of the books and the slip case are faded. Nonetheless, this is a unique set and in near very good condition. Signed by Author.
