The book was edited and illustrated by Russell. Included with the book is a signed color photo showing Russ with several of his Striper flies. The photo measures 7 x 9 and was taken at the Russian River Steelhead Dinner in Duncan Mills, CA, near the river. The photo was signed by Russ while he was at Belmont in 2019; it was near the end of his line. The stories and essays herein were penned by some of the most significant and talented group of outdoor writers of the time: Thomas McGuane - William Hjortsberg - Jack Curtis - Harmon Henkin - Charles F. Waterman - Jim Harrison - Russell Chatham. It’s delicious angling literature and not to be missed. The book is bound in cream thick paper wrappers with tan titles on the spine and front cover.
