Text illustrations. This book, first written and published by Charles's father, Richard Bowlker in ca.1758, has gone through several editions, this 1839 edition being the twelfth edition of the work. It's still a fundamental book on fly fishing and of more importance, fly dressing. The book is bound in later black cloth with gilt titles on the spine and with the original front and back covers of the 1839 edition laid-on. A clean, nice book. Very good.
