Description: Amsterdam, 1700, First Edition. No Binding. Atlas, No date (circa 1700). Copper-engraved map, hand-colored. 37cm x 48cm.(14 ½ x 19"). Map of the Holy Land based on that of Visscher, but added vignettes of Christ's life. West is at the top. From a large Dutch Bible. The coloring seems early. The paper is thicker and of better quality than often seen in Dutch Bibles. Dutch text on verso. Inside a mat board, but has not been removed from it for inspection. Size of the mat board is 62cm x 51cm. More photos available upon request. Very good condition.
