Takagi bought photographer Kozaburo Tamamura's studio in Kobe, Japan in 1904. In 1914, Takagi changed the company's name, The Tamamura, to his own and continued the art gallery and photographic studio thru (at least)1929. "Girls' Pastimes in Japan" is a rare item for collectors of Japanese photography - with some wear, tear, soiling to silk covers along edges & corners, spine, ends & corners (see scans below). Pages are clean & bright (see scans below), binding tight & intact. The cloth is smooth & supple to the touch. Interior pages are near fine. NB: front board has a fold mark. Very Good.
