Chief Eaglewing was a Klameth Indian, respected for contributing to preserving Californian Native American culture. He and his wife were authors of the 'Peek-Wa Stories'. Chief Eagelwing also worked with Univ. of California's Dept. of Anthropology, travelled, lectured and acted in Hollywood's silent films. (2) notices laid-in: (1) San Francisco Chronicle 1947 ad for Chief Eaglewing's Indian dance performances at the Emporium dept. store. (2) Printed sheet of Indian Code of Ethics.
