Spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, other uncut, red silk ties. Housed in the original gray card slipcase with matching limitation number. Slipcase slightly split otherwise a very fine copy. A fine limited edition of Shelley s moving tribute to his fallen friend, the poet John Keats. "Adonais was printed by the Chiswick Press for the Reed Pale Press, which was founded by Edmund D. Brooks and his son Edmund Brooks of Minneapolis. The Chiswick Press had taken leadership during the 19th century revival of great printing and continued to print high-class work until it ceased trading in 1962" (Glaister, 94).
