By John Gorham Palfrey. Boston: Ferdinand Andrews, 1840. 71 pp. Octavo, contemporary quarter calf, marbled sides, gilt title at spine. Affixed to the final pastedown is a ticket to the celebration; it is inscribed with the name of Eben Bacon of Barnstable, a member of the Committee of Arrangements. The leather is rubbed, scuffed and rather dry; though the binding is sound. There is an abraded patch at the front pastedown, probably due to bookplate removal. The first title has moderate to heavy foxing throughout; the second title is clean. Two works bound in one, in very good condition. (Sabin 10734). .
