Two octavo volumes: xiv,532 pp.; viii,554,[2] pp. Publisher's bindings: olive cloth, gilt-stamped title to spine, vignette illustration blocked in blind to upper board, olive coated endpapers, t.e.g. Contemporary ink ownership. Ex-library; bookplate at front pastedown of each volume and no other marks. Bindings are sunned at spines, with occasional soiling. Volume 1 has a few corners which are gently bumped and a short closed-tear at crown. Clean within, it is a solid and very good copy. (Howes A393). .
