The letter opens "Dear Editor and (I hope) Friend:" and was probably for distribution to university campus publications. Burgess appeals to a younger generation because English professors "refuse to acquaint their students with the recently discovered historical facts" (this phrase underlined in red crayon) proving the Oxford-Shakespeare case. The sheet has a few faint creases, else it is fine. .
