Dilly ran away, and along the way she met several animals. A kangaroo tried to help by giving her a ride in her pouch. Dilly then rode on Mr Platypus's back until she arrived near her home where her owner found her. Dilly now has a new dress and goes out every sunny day, and is now a very happy doll. (This book in the series is not a rhyme book. Self-published. No date, but 1940s. Unnumbered pages, including covers.).
