The field work was completed in 1946, a total of 14 weeks being spent in the field. Counties Albert and Alfred comprise approximately 3,600 sq. miles of portion of the area formerly known as the Murray Mallee. Now the area is divided between three regions, Sturt, Pyap, and Murray Mallee. A valuable reference for the future.
