The Death and Burial of Cock Robin is a nursery rhyme of ancient origin. William Darton expanded the traditional rhyme with four new verses. This booklet has hand-coloured copperplate illustrations. The Moving Adventures of Old Dame Trot and Her Comical Cat has black and white engraved plates. This rhyme has been known since 1706 and appeared in a chapbook edition published in 1803 by T. Evans. The card envelopes that wrap around each individual booklet add a special touch. (One of a set of 35 handsome facsimiles in 28 slipcases.).
