The anonymous writer in the Argus newspaper describes the successful but fatal feat of crossing the continent of Australia to the Gulf of Carpentaria, by Burke, Wills, Gray, and King. They left Royal Park, Melbourne, on the 20th of August, 1860. There are biographical sketches of Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills. (No 10 in this series.).
